Christ's baptism is celebrated in Ukraine on 19 January.

According to the Law of Ukraine, in cases where a public holiday falls on the weekend (Saturday or Sunday), the weekend is extended by one day.

Red marks the holidays wich are days off.

Brown marks the official holidays which are working days.

Green marks the celebrations, which change date.

Baptism of Christ (Epiphany).

• Battle of Drozhy-pole or the Battle of Ohmatovom (1655) between the Russian Cossack army under the command of Bohdan Khmelnytsky and Vasyl Sheremetev, and the Polish-Crimean army under the command of Stanislaw Potocki, Stanisław Lyantskoronsky and Mehmed IV Giray during the Russo-Polish war 1654-1667. The battle ended 22 January.

• The Ukrainian film director, teacher and publicist Timofey Levchuk was born (01.19.1912 – 14.12.1998).

• «Union of Ukrainians» was formed in the UK (1946).
