The Ukrainian ensemble ”Dyvohray” gives a charity concert during their tour in Denmark

The well-known Ukrainian ensemble is considered among the best music groups of its kind in Ukraine, and 21 October, you can experience Ukrainian world class music.

The ensemble ”Dyvohray” is touring in Ukraine and abroad, and on 21 October it gives a charity concert in Denmark. The concert is organized by the association ”Help Ukraine”, which provides emergency assistance to war-affected areas in East Ukraine. Profits from the event will go to the relief effort.

”There is still a great need for help to East Ukraine, which has been hit hard by the war with Russia. Help Ukraine collects hospital- and dental equipment, clothes, shoes, furniture and toys and send it to Ukraine. Winter is approaching, so there is a need that we send trucks with warm clothes. It costs 15,000 kr. to send a truck, and we follow these supplies from the truck departs from Denmark till it arrives at the receivers,” the president of the association Jakob Knudsen says.

About ”Dyvohray”

5 musicians, all trained at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Kyiv, employed by the highly acclaimed National Philharmonic Society of Ukraine.

The ensemble consists of father, mother and daughter and two musicians, of which one composes several of the compositions. Through their music ”Dyvohray” creates magical variations of folklore, classical and contemporary music that expresses the beauty and spirituality of the Ukrainian music culture. The repertoire is very versatile, and consists of traditional folk music with elements of fun and games as well as more modern music.

”Dyvohray” comes to Denmark every year, where they gather full houses and has got a very loyal audience.

The charity concert with ”Dyvohray” takes place in Stenløse Kulturhus, Rådhustorvet 2, 3660 Stenløse 21 October at 7 pm.

Admission costs 75 kr. You can buy tickets at billetto.dk or at the entrance. Note that it is not possible to pay by credit card at the entrance.

At the concert there will be held a lottery with interesting prizes, and it is possible to buy refreshments.
