Events and celebrations in the Ukrainian calendar year.

According to the Law of Ukraine, in cases where a public holiday falls on the weekend (Saturday or Sunday), the weekend is extended by one day.

Red marks the official holidays wich are days off.

Brown marks the official holidays which are working days.

Green marks the celebrations, which change date.

25 June

• Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Day is celebrated on the last Sunday in June. The history of the city in the Odesa region begins in the late 6th century BC.

• Berdichev Day is celebrated on the last Sunday of June. The city of the Zhytomyr region was founded in 1430 (or 1546).

• Vitaly Rusanovsky was born (1931/06/25 – 2007/01/29) – Ukrainian linguist, specialist in Ukrainian and Slavic studies.

• Establishment of the Southern Front (1941).

• Ukraine joined the Economic Cooperation in the Black Sea Region (1992).

• Customs Service Day in Ukraine has been celebrated every year since 1992.

• Youth Day has been celebrated in Ukraine from 1994 on the last Sunday of June.
