Events and celebrations in the Ukrainian calendar year.

According to the Law of Ukraine, in cases where a public holiday falls on the weekend (Saturday or Sunday), the weekend is extended by one day.

Red marks the official holidays wich are days off.

Brown marks the official holidays which are working days.

Green marks the celebrations, which change date.

11 September

• The beheading of John the Baptist.

• Tulchin Day, Vinnytsia Region. The first mention of the city dates back to 10 May, 1607.

• Earthquake in Crimea, leading to a series of devastations from Sevastopol to Feodosia (1927).

• The state Ukrainian choir named Grigory Verevka was established in Kharkiv (1943). Today, it is the National Honored Academic Folk Choir in Ukraine named after Verevka.
